Growing Pains

Growing Pains
April 11, 2019 Elisha

Wanted to encourage someone today with this lesson. Our youngest son has been experiencing pains in his legs. I was concerned because we couldn’t figure out why he was having discomfort. After speaking to the doctor we learned that it was growing pains. I never knew it was a real thing, but turns out its pretty common. He’s growing so fast at times and its unsettling. According to the doctor he’s going to be pretty tall. He’s already off the scale for his age. We do what we can to help with vitamins, pediasure, massages, stretching, and warm baths. I told him to just be patient, get through this stage/process, your gonna be a giant 🙂

This reminded me of how God views His children/us. It’s written that He chastises, disciplines, rebukes, reprimand because of the love He has for us. (“All those I dearly love I unmask and train. So repent and be eager to pursue what is right.” Rev 3:19 ) Its uncomfortable at times, even painful when God shows me myself (Heb 4:12). But I take it, learn from it, apply it, have #GrowingPains from it. I want to be like Him, to live in Holiness, to grow as a giant in the spirit, operating in my creation role as intended. It’s true, some growing pains come from the enemy just wanting to attack/distract. Other times can be from us not obeying the leading of the Lord concerning home, work, relationships, finances, & ministry etc. Either way there’s no failure in Gods plans for our progress. With growing pains come wisdom and enlightenment. He’s the parent standing there with His arms out stretched. Rooting for us to get through each stage/process. #WeCanDoIt #GetUp #DustOff #LearnTheLesson #GrowingPains #SpiritualGiants #GrowFromIt

“And have you forgotten his encouraging words spoken to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t underestimate the value of the discipline and training of the Lord God, or get depressed when he has to correct you. For the Lord’s training of your life is the evidence of his faithful love. And when he draws you to himself, it proves you are his delightful child.””

Hebrews 12:5-6 TPT

“If you cover up your sin you’ll never do well. But if you confess your sins and forsake them, you will be kissed by mercy.”

Proverbs 28:13 TPT

“For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.”

Hebrews 4:12 TPT
