Inspiration & Motivation! Never Temptation & Flirtation!

Inspiration & Motivation! Never Temptation & Flirtation!

Spring is finally showing her “pretty little” head. At the same time there’s so many who can’t wait to pull out pretty “little” outfits. Little as in “revealing too much.” The problem with this is, showing everything can/will cause temptation. I’m speaking of sensuality. This is very dangerous and God holds us accountable. It is written in Luke 17:1-2 “And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come!”

Woe means a condition of deep suffering, affliction and misfortune. To me, being half naked is not worth this doom. Posting pictures just to get likes is not worth it. That passage if made personal would continue to say “it would be better for me if a millstone were hung around my neck and that I was cast into the sea than for someone to fall because of me.” Wow! I’ve made up my mind I’ll lead in shining no matter where I am. To be an INSPIRATION and MOTIVATION for Holiness. (1 Peter 1:16)

Some would say it’s not their problem that others aren’t strong enough to handle it. I say it’s our responsibility to represent as sons and daughters of the living God. We are citizens of the kingdom so no evil should be associated with us. Being a TEMPTATION by urging FLIRTATION is evil. Not to mention it draws the wrong type of attention. (Footnote: it is quite possible to dress appropriate for spring WITHOUT being a sexual tease/play thing!) My husband told me that one of the reasons he wanted me as a wife was because he found me, hidden. Not exposing all that I am physically to lure him in.

Also I’ve spoken to both males and females who are bound by MASTURBATION. One of the main triggers that tempts them to go back is seeing half naked people, online, on TV, and in the church. So basically the best thing to do is to stay away from temptation, flee youthful lust. Our brothers and sisters in the church should not have to turn their heads in a place of worship to keep images of you and the shape of your body from their minds. God forbid! Not everyone is where they should be in their walk with God, I understand that. But its written in Romans 14:13 “Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.” If you love the way God loves then this is a light adjustment. Those who know better should do better & those who’ve never been told this before, let’s talk to God and ask Him for help in understanding.

Psalm Outloud:
Father, I come to you as a child. I ask for forgiveness for the times my behavior drove temptation and urging of flirtation. I repent if I’ve caused anyone to fall knowingly and unknowingly. I ask that you would teach me to do what is pleasing in your sight. Help me to understand that not just my inner man should be clothed with Holiness, but my outer man also. For your word says “to be ye Holy for I am Holy”. Because of this I observe both to will and to do of your good pleasure. Only what I do for you will last. So I take on the consciousness of Christ, realizing that I am created to carry all that You are. I break the spirit of lust and the desire to want to be seen in the way of the world. I ask that you would remove the taste for carnality. Breathe on me in a fresh and new way. Arise and shine that I may be an inspiration and motivation for my world, all for Your glory. I will not compromise in the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
