“Lighthouse 🕯Love”

My daughter randomly turned to me and said, "Mom I want to be just like you when I grow up. I want to pray like you, know the word, look like you, and share the same occupation." 😮I was speechless and immediately began to examine myself because our youth is

watching us intently and they need #LIGHTHOUSELove. I made a vow to God that I would arise and allow Him to #SHINE through me (Isaiah 60:1) like I've seen others do before me. That I would avail myself to any questions that come (2 Timothy 2:15). That I would be honest about the lessons I've learned, to serve as a navigational aid, warning against dangers and to be used as an obvious #model for Christ in this sea called life. (That's a Lighthouse!) Lord knows I never want to be that mother that claims to be #SAVED but #SALTY, #HOLY but #HURT, #BLESSED but #BITTER, #MIGHTY but #MEAN 🤷🏽‍♀️ Thats confusing for our youth. Why would they want to be like us if all they see is this #BIPOLAR #spiritual #mentality? 😔 Our lives should reflect Gods beauty and wonder in such a way that any young person would want to dress like us, walk and talk like us, and live the way we live. The fruits of the Holy Spirit should #RULE strong in us (Galatians 5:22-23). Makes me think of Ruth and how she spoke so highly to Naomi. "And Ruth said, “Don’t force me to leave you; don’t make me go home. Where you go, I go; and where you live, I’ll live. Your people are my people, your God is my god; where you die, I’ll die, and that’s where I’ll be buried, so help me GOD —not even death itself is going to come between us!"" (Ruth‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭MSG) Mothering Gods way will #DRAW the youth to Christ. A #LIGHTHOUSElove.
